The Hug

he was leaving
cause he couldn’t stay
after dropping in to
pleasantly surprise her
for a few titillating moments
of conversation and croissants
and the sight of her rumpled
round the house look
and the tantalizing tip
of her upper lip
and the captivating
and totally endearing
way her mouth
puckered and
exhaled the
word chestnut

so he stood at the door
lingering longer
than he should
arms encircling her
slightly stiff back
his chest luxuriating
in the schmeer
of her comforting breasts
as one hand drifted
slowly south
respectfully yearning to
stay and play
but just pulling her closer
while suggesting
the wish for more

and she cupped
the sides of his face
with her hands softly
and whispered gently
in his ear:
sweet man

and his blood
surged and
his neck hair
tingled
as his arms
clenched her
to him merging
breathless
soul shuddered
confoundedly
apprehended
in surprise
by the experience
of being suddenly
and completely
delighted and
surrounded in
that which he
so longed for
but so
not expected

The Rubyfruit

Down low underneath
the dense bush
at the top of the crack
near the base of the trunk
was this amazing ruby red
fruit that hung soft
luscious, dark and full
and begged to be
licked everso softly
and sucked everso gently
till swelling juices made
the membranes stretch
and the berry sag and
pout and pucker
and beg to be pricked
softly…
